Unearthing Thames Embankment

Project Statement

The unearthed Thames Embankment and Thames Path have been integral in connecting communities; though the embankment itself creates a division, distancing people from wildlife that reside below at low tide.

This project connects these two vastly different worlds through a blacksmithing workshop carved into the river embankment wall that forges birdbaths from flotsam and jetsam deposited along the river banks.
